Adult Physiatrist - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Columbia, South Carolina Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiatrist to join our team at our American College of Surgeons verified Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on inpatient consults, providing expert care to patients with a wide range of physical and neurological conditions. There may also be opportunities for outpatient follow-up care. Key Responsibilities : Conduct inpatient consultations for patients with physical and neurological impairments, including those recovering from trauma and stroke. Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans tailored to individual patient needs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, trauma surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation processes and goals. Liaison with rehabilitation centers to ensure smooth transitions of care. Participate in rotating schedules to ensure coverage 7 days a week. Potentially provide outpatient follow-up care to ensure continuity of care.
