Responsible for administrative, supervisory, and technical work in managing designated municipal facilities, their operating systems, equipment, and assigned staff. The incumbent may also coordinate these services across multiple facilities. This role supervises custodial and maintenance staff, monitors vendor and contractor services, and assists higher-level supervisors with daily administrative tasks and special projects as requested. Work is performed with considerable independence under the administrative direction of a superior and is reviewed through observation, conferences, reports, and results achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise custodial and maintenance staff, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
• Coordinate and monitor services provided by vendors and contractors to ensure timely, quality work.
• Assist higher-level supervisors with daily administrative tasks, reporting, and special projects.
• Oversee facility operations, equipment, and systems to maintain efficiency and safety standards.
• Exercise independent judgment while adhering to administrative direction and organizational policies.
• Monitor performance through observations, conferences, reports, and results-based evaluations.

Minimum Training & Experience

Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and four years of technical or skilled craft experience in the construction industry, building maintenance and repair, or installing and maintaining mechanical operating systems.

Necessary Special Requirements

Must possess a valid class EState driver’s license at the time of appointment.

Police Department: Applicants should truthfully complete the Criminal History Questions on the City Employment Application. Any omissions, falsifications, misstatements, or misrepresentations of the information provided may disqualify an applicant. The top applicant chosen for this position will be required to complete and pass a Truth Verification Examination prior to an employment offer being made.

Salary Range

$20.8354 to $56.5383/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $34.4371/hour

Driver's License Requirements

Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
