Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in Illinois requiring an IL RN license, BLS, ACLS, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Cath / IR Lab

Adult patient population undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures

Procedures performed include Diagnostic Cardiac Cath, PTCA interventions, TAVR, Left Atrial Appendage Closure, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular procedures

Use of Epic EMR is required

Day shifts from 7 : 30AM to 5 : 00PM, four days per week (4x9s)

On-call rotation required : weekdays 5 : 00PM-7 : 30AM, Friday-Monday 5 : 00PM-7 : 30AM

20-week contract assignment

Provide 1 : 1 patient care for a variety of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures

Administer moderate sedation and medications safely according to policy

Perform hemodynamic monitoring and identify arrhythmias

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, RNs, and Radiology Technologists

Participate in a supportive and educational team environment with opportunities for growth and cross-training

First time travelers will be considered

No travel partners accepted

Must adhere to a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract

Assignment limited to one calendar year; a 30-60 day break required after one year before returning

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license or temporary license in good standing

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Minimum of one year relevant Cath Lab nursing experience

Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required

Epic charting experience required

Level 1 trauma experience required

Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
