Compactor Repair Technician

Safely perform the repair, rebuilding, operation, installation, and maintenance on Company compactors, containers, and other equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all Company and applicable rules and regulations regarding compactor / equipment safety.
• Coordinate all compactor rebuilds, repairs, and track all costs by for any parts or labor used.
• Receive major account request for compactor repairs and installation and coordinate / perform as necessary to insure completeness.
• Assist the branch with any compactor repair or installation problems.
• Perform minor welding when needed.
• Coordinate P.M. program to ensure that our image, equipment and customer service is upheld; including pressure setting and cycle times to make sure that we are minimizing loads from our customers.
• Stock inventory of standard parts, according to designated stocking level.
• Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state / provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
• Possess, provide and maintain tools necessary to perform tasks related to maintenance.
• Maintain a working knowledge of and keep up with the latest technology through the use of technical manuals and attendance of technical training seminars and testing.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
