About The Position

Job Title : ER Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

General Emergency Department experience with combined adult and pediatric care

Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias

Experience in blood product administration and central line care

Proficient in phlebotomy and starting IVs

Ability to manage continuous IV paralytics and sedation

Experience with emergency medications and IV vasopressors

Description :

Position requires an ER RN with a minimum of 1 year of experience.

First-time travelers are accepted.

The nurse will be working in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 1 : 5.

The role may involve floating when census warrants.

Every other weekend commitment is required.

Nurses must demonstrate skills in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.

Experience with procedural sedation administration is essential.

Charting will be done using Epic.

The facility serves diverse patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily census averages 64 patients, with about 145 visits per day.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialized teams.

Flexibility with scheduling is required, though accommodations for block scheduling can be considered.

Nurses must also adhere to isolation precautions as needed.

Skills in obtaining and interpreting EKGs are preferred.

Experience in trauma care is not required but is a plus.

This position does not support local candidates within 75 miles of the facility.
