About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and driven Partner Activation Specialist to support the execution and growth of corporate partnerships that fund and advance our mission. In this key external-facing role, you will manage a portfolio of corporate partners and ensure that sponsorship benefits and partnership experiences are delivered with precision and impact. This position focuses heavily on partnership engagement, cross-departmental coordination, and event-based activations, including on-site responsibilities at competitions and unified events.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnership Management (75%)
- Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of corporate sponsors (up to $25k level), ensuring clear communication, accurate records, and full benefit delivery.
- Lead activation strategies for partnership benefits across events, campaigns, and unified experiences, both virtual and in-person.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Volunteer Services, Marketing, Athlete Leadership) to fulfill sponsorship commitments.
- Plan and oversee the partner experience at signature events and competitions, including managing day-of logistics and volunteers.
- Support development team in proposal creation, case statements, and stewardship communications.
- Assist in managing the corporate partnership pipeline and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Coordinate third-party corporate engagement events, including Lunch & Learns and DIY fundraising campaigns.
- Lead the planning of the annual Corporate Partnership Summit.
Operational & Data Management (18%)
Maintain up-to-date records on partnership activity, communication, and fulfillment using CRM / database tools.Evaluate inquiries from prospective partners to ensure alignment with mission and strategic goals.Assist in identifying and researching prospective partners through event participation and matching gift programs.Provide accurate reporting on sponsorship ROI and partner impact.Risk Management & Administrative Support (7%)
Ensure risk policies and protocols are followed for assigned events and engagements.Review basic contracts and facility agreements, identifying potential risks and communicating with leadership.Submit accurate and timely reports, including timecards, mileage, expense reimbursements, and invoices.Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in nonprofit development, event planning, marketing, or related field.3+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship activation, or fundraising.Proven ability to manage and execute events with multiple stakeholders.Strong database / CRM experience (e.g., Raiser's Edge preferred).Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Available to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overnights.Valid California driver's license and ability to travel within the region.Preferred :
