This role is eligible for hire at either our Burlington, MA or our South St. Paul, MN offices. Team members must reside within a commutable distance and be willing to work on-site in accordance with the location-s regular office hours.

What You-ll Accomplish

• Calculate and maintain the company-s inventory standards for raw materials, packaging and finished goods
• Calculate and record the capitalization of inventory variances
• Analyze monthly variances to budget / forecast
• Investigate manufacturing related problems and variances, inventory transaction issues, and scrap & cycle count
• Organize complex data utilizing advanced Excel and database skills
• Represent accounting in cross-functional teams for process / systems implementations, new product launches, special projects
• Create and analyze performance metrics
• Ad hoc analysis
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and roll forwards
• Prepare journal entries for monthly financial statements
• Ensure and record reasonable estimate of inventory obsolescence reserve
• Work directly with audit and tax firms related to inventory accounting
• Provide periodic reporting to outside parties, such as banks and government agencies
• Continuously improve / streamline / automate work processes, reports, and analyses
