Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details Location : Bangor, ME 04401 (Maine nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Medical Surgical Unit (G5), Level II Trauma Center Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) position Start Date : December 23, 2025 End Date : March 21, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7A-7P) Hours per Week : 36-48 (guaranteed 48 hours) Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $2040 Free Parking in designated areas Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maine or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required BLS certification required NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred Proficient in reading and interpreting rhythm strips Experience with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), insulin drips, and heparin drips preferred (training available) Strong medical-surgical nursing skills : wound care, IV antibiotics, drain / tube management, IV starts, central line management, trach care, chest tube management Previous charge nurse experience highly preferred First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply! Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical diagnoses (excluding primary cardiac) Monitor patients on telemetry and manage acute medical conditions such as stroke, COPD, respiratory illnesses, GI bleed, renal failure, and electrolyte imbalances Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, and therapists Float to other Medical Surgical or Telemetry units as needed Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic charting system Participate in comprehensive hospital and unit orientation (2 days hospital, 1 shift on unit) Maintain professional appearance (scrub color of choice, no crocs with holes, no artificial nails) Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Bangor, Maine and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
