Position Overview The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing GAMMA Sports’ strategic accounts with major big box retailers (e.g., Dick’s Sporting Goods, Walmart, Target, Academy) and Amazon.

This role requires strong sales experience, account management expertise, and the ability to navigate both traditional retail and e-commerce channels.

The Senior Account Manager will drive revenue growth, oversee account strategy, and serve as the primary liaison between GAMMA Sports and these key partners.

Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day relationships with major retail accounts and Amazon, serving as the primary point of contact.

Develop and execute account-specific strategies to achieve sales, margin, and growth targets.

Lead annual line reviews, business planning meetings, and joint business planning sessions with retail partners.

Partner with marketing and operations teams to ensure effective product launches, promotions, and supply chain execution.

Analyze sales performance, category trends, and customer data to identify opportunities and risks.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional programs with buyers and category managers.

Oversee Amazon account health, including content management, advertising strategy, compliance, and profitability.

Collaborate with the e-commerce and marketing teams to optimize online product pages, search rankings, and digital marketing initiatives.

Monitor competitive landscape and provide insights on product positioning and growth opportunities.

Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines, and sales reporting for assigned accounts.

Represent GAMMA Sports at key meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus). 5–7 years of account management experience in consumer products, with a focus on sporting goods, fitness, or related industries preferred.

Proven success managing large national retailers.

A solid understanding of the Amazon business landscape – both seller and vendor - .

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Experience with retail portals (e.g., Walmart Retail Link, Vendor Central, EDI platforms).

Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with CRM and sales reporting tools.

Experience using Netsuite is a plus.

Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry events.

Passion for sports and active lifestyle markets a plus.
