ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CCU - Coronary Care for a travel nursing job in Christiansburg, Virginia.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM

    • \n

  • 2 : 1 patient ratio maintained across all shifts

    • \n

  • Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block

    • \n

  • Must work one holiday per 13-week contract (two holidays during winter season)

    • \n

  • EPIC charting system experience required

    • \n

  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS

    • \n

  • Preferred certifications : NIHSS, CCRN

    • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

    • \n

  • Previous charge experience preferred

    • \n

  • Must be comfortable with IV therapy including arterial line management, central / PICC line care, and blood product administration

    • \n

  • Experience required with respiratory support including BiPAP, CPAP management, and ventilated patient care

    • \n

  • Must be proficient in medication administration including continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac / vasoactive drips

    • \n

  • Floating within skillset required

    • \n

  • Care for variety of medical and surgical patients including respiratory failures, pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, DKA, and sepsis

    • \n

  • Manage ventilator patients, arterial lines, multiple drips, and assist physicians with bedside procedures

    • \n

  • 24 hours of orientation provided

    • \n

  • Accepts first-time travelers

    • \n

  • Virginia state license or compact license required

    This healthcare facility operates a 12-bed Critical Care Unit within a 146-bed general acute care hospital that holds Level III trauma accreditation. The facility is part of a larger health system serving a broad region across multiple states and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization maintains high standards for critical care services and provides advanced life support capabilities for complex medical and surgical patients.
