The Processing Specialist is responsible for two critical stages of the loan lifecycle; coordinating front end due diligence on loan requests prior to entering underwriting status and completing back end due diligence post approval to ensure a smooth and successful loan closing.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Complete basic collateral review and data entry into a 3rd party system to begin the appraisal process, flood certifications and collect environmental data.
- Utilize DocuSign to send out conditional loan approvals to borrowers and brokers.
- Complete due diligence up front to review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Review loan approvals to ensure compliance with company established guidelines.
- Draft commitment letters with necessary conditions for loan requests.
- Correspond with Borrowers & Brokers to secure all conditions outlined in commitment letter.
- Order title and work closely with agents to identify and resolve title issues.
- Request insurance certificates including building, flood, windstorm & condominium, as applicable.
- Prepare LaserPro loan documents.
- Assists in the development of new business for APEX. Is alert to expressed customer / prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to establish business relationships.
- Coordinate and prepare all parties for loan closings including requesting payoffs as needed.
- Draft closing instructions to be sent to title company.
- Maintain accurate checklists, fee ledgers and accurate notes regarding the status of files.
