PDG is looking for Contract Medical Writers to join our talent network to support PDG's ongoing needs. The work to be performed will be on a project basis and will be paid on a 1099. The Medical Writer is responsible for researching, creating, and editing learning assets across various learning modalities for PDG clients.
Responsibilities :
Consult with clients and subject matter experts to discuss scientific concepts, capture relevant insights, and develop relevant medical communications / educational materialResearch, learn, and distill complex scientific information and communicate it clearly to the target audience(s)Design and write educational materials for life sciences industry professionals.Balance compelling and scientifically rigorous storytelling within regulatory frameworks and in alignment with client goalsParticipate in client calls / correspondence relating to content approval; record and clarify all content change requestsEngage in and lead conversations with clients and their legal / medical / regulatory teams around submitted contentPrepare and review / revise materials ensuring that they are accurate, engaging, and adhere to the client's medical, legal, and regulatory standardsMaintain stylistic consistency, enhance readability, and ensure copy meets branding and referencing requirementsCollaborate with project / account managers, instructional designers, graphic artists, programmers, editors, and quality assurance specialists to ensure clients' needs are met and the end product is accurate and of high qualityContribute to the development and execution of department goals and standards, and help drive internal initiativesProvide constructive feedback and mentorship to more junior medical writers within the teamEducation and Professional Experience :
The ideal Medical Writer candidate has the following qualifications :
Master's degree in life sciences, pharmacology, or medicine fields of studyPhD or MD is strongly preferred5+ years of experience as a medical writer5+ years experience in instructional designExceptional verbal and written communication skillsExperience with presenting and interacting with clients and medical subject matter expertsSkilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
