Must-Have :

Candidates must have the ability to care for both low risk and high risk obstetric patients.

Candidates must possess the ability to circulate a c-section.

Strong patient experience skills are required.

Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring skills are necessary.

Description :

This travel position is for a CST in Labor & Delivery.

The unit has 16 beds and approximately 40 staff members.

Day shift consists of 6 RNs, including 1 charge and 1 scrub tech.

Night shift consists of 5 RNs, including 1 charge and 1 scrub tech.

Patient ratios are estimated at 1 : 2, but can fluctuate with acuity.

Common procedures performed include cerclages, versions, c-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&Cs, care of fetal demise, and epidurals.

The ideal candidate should possess strong collaboration skills with physicians, midwives, and doulas.

Experience with mom / baby couplet care is preferred.

This unit offers access to new equipment and technology.

A positive and collaborative team environment is emphasized.

Strong leadership and exceptional patient experience skills are essential for success in this role.
