Job Description
The Electronics Engineering Intern will support the development, documentation, and improvement of electronic hardware designs used in aerospace & defense applications, including printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), cable harnesses, and integrated electronic components. This role provides hands-on experience working with design engineers, supplier partners, and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are robust, manufacturable at scale, and compliant with performance and reliability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in updating electrical schematics and PCB layout documentation in accordance with engineering change processes.
- Support creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), part specifications, and configuration control documentation.
- Perform part research and assist in evaluating alternate component options.
- Record test results, anomalies, and support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Supplier Quality to troubleshoot build issues.
- Review supplier datasheets and manufacturing guidelines to ensure alignment with design intent.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) reviews.
- Identify documentation gaps or process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Working toward a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.Understanding of circuit theory and component behavior.Ability to read schematics and datasheets.Familiarity with standard test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope). - Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred :
Experience with PCB layout tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).Soldering or hardware prototyping experience.Exposure to configuration control processes.Interest in aerospace or mission-critical electronics.Attributes for Success
