Client in San Ramon, CA is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst contractor with strong fundamental IT knowledge – Not just someone certified in specific tools (like CrowdStrike), but someone who understands fundamental architecture of IT environments.

• Active Directory expertise
• Networking skills and understanding of OSI layers
• Understanding of how systems communicate and integrate Security expertise : – Understanding of how malware pivots and performs lateral movement
• Knowledge of how to stop malware attacks
• Experience with domain controllers and system architecture
• Soft skills – Proactive question asking
• Critical thinking abilities
• Ability to work with teams in India
• People-friendly attitude for GRC-related responsibilities
• Willingness to engage with others in the office
• Ability to work on-site at the San Ramona, CA
• Flexibility to work hours from approximately 10am-7pm
• Potential interest in transitioning to full-time employment after the 6-month contract
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States, with reliable transportation and auto insurance
