About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiology Technologist

Profession : Radiologic Technologist

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

License : Client License (or able to obtain prior to start)

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association only), VIR Certification preferred

Must-Have : Competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning radiologic images, ability to instruct and prepare patients for examinations, knowledge of Hospital Information System, Radiology Information System, and PACS

Description :

Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and consistently produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality.

Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently.

Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when dealing with customers.

Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient rights in all interfaces with patients.

Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures.

Demonstrates competence and proficiency in the operation of all equipment and reports malfunctions to management.

Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to assist others and / or assist with room turnover.

Maintains medication security accessible only to authorized personnel.

Demonstrates competency in providing health care services to all age groups.

Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships with all age groups.

Demonstrates competency in using Hospital Information Systems, Radiology Information Systems, and PACS.

Participates in performance improvement activities when warranted.

Maintains confidentiality using personal passwords and all patient care modules.

Answers technical inquiries from personnel while maintaining good phone etiquette.
