Director of Adult Formation, Evangelization and Outreach - Saint Mary of the Lake and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish

The Director of Adult Formation, Evangelization, and Outreach assists the parish's efforts to foster mature adult discipleship and evangelization both within and beyond the parish community. This position focuses on deepening the faith and engagement of adult Catholics and inviting others into the life of the Church. The director is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and ongoing improvement of the ministries and evangelization initiatives. The director must demonstrate strong leadership skills necessary to identify, develop, and retain a fully formed and well-functioning volunteer team critical to the success of parish ministry.

Adult Formation

• Oversees the program for the preparation of adults who request the sacraments including Adult Confirmation, OCIA and marriage.
• Plan formation opportunities for spiritual and intellectual growth of the community, (retreats, lectures, talks, concerts)
• Maintain and develop the Adult Faith Formation Team to help implement a vision that reaches adults of all ages.
• Works with the Director of Liturgy and Music to ensure that the sacramental rites are celebrated in accordance with church guidelines and that they are celebrated with style and grace.
• Collaborate with the parish site administrator to ensure that the ministries comply with the guidelines for Protecting God’s Children for those who minister with and to children in accordance with the Archdiocese of Chicago policies.

This position has a salary of $60,000-$70,000.

An employee’s pay within the salary / hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to : relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
