In Louisville, DSPs are the heart of support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, helping them live fuller, more independent lives. You’ll assist clients with daily living skills, offer companionship, and bring dignity to their days—whether in their homes or out in the community. When you join us, your heart becomes their home, providing encouragement, safety, and a sense of belonging. Starting wage is $19 / hour, plus a $500 sign-on bonus (terms and conditions apply)!

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Living Support :  Assist clients with personal care like bathing, dressing, and meal prep, tailored to their unique needs.
  • Community Connection :  Help with errands, outings, or light housekeeping to keep their space safe and welcoming.
  • Encouragement & Companionship :  Be a friendly presence, share activities they love, and boost their independence.
  • Health & Safety Checks :  Follow care plans, remind them about meds, and keep an eye out for any changes to report.
  • Teamwork :  Share updates with supervisors to ensure the best support for every client.

  • A compassionate, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation (public or personal)
  • Current auto insurance
  • Solid communication skills and dependability
