We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LMHC or LCSW to join our comprehensive outpatient behavioral health clinic. The clinician will provide mental health counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families in an outpatient or partial hospitalization (PHP / IOP) setting. This position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about improving the emotional and mental well-being of clients through evidence-based and person-centered treatment approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments , diagnostic evaluations , and treatment planning .
Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to clients with a range of behavioral health concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, co-occurring disorders).
Develop, implement, and update treatment plans and progress notes in accordance with state, federal, and agency documentation standards.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical staff, case managers, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic client care.
Provide crisis intervention and develop safety plans as needed.
Participate in team meetings , case reviews , and supervision as required.
Maintain compliance with all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards as outlined by HIPAA and professional licensing boards.
Support program development and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Active licensure in the state of North Carolina as an LCSW or LMHC (LCMHC) (Associate-level candidates may be considered with supervision).
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health, counseling, or behavioral health services preferred.
Strong understanding of DSM-5 diagnoses , evidence-based practices , and treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care).
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage a diverse caseload.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in PHP, IOP, or outpatient behavioral health settings .
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus.
Experience working with adults, adolescents, or specialized populations (e.g., trauma survivors, dual diagnosis, veterans).
