Executive Protection Manager
Overview : Pinkerton, a leader in enterprise risk management for over 170 years, seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds to join our team. The Executive Protection Manager will lead and manage the Executive Protection (EP) function to ensure the safety and security of high-profile principals through effective coordination.
Responsibilities : Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. Ensure all services are conducted in a timely and professional manner and aligned with Pinkerton's Service Delivery Standards. Develop and refine policies and procedures that govern the client's Executive Protection (EP) program. Monitor external developments to enhance the overall program, create client-specified standard operating procedures. Recommend specific security features and communicate with executive protection partners to implement program details. Conduct on-going performance improvement assessments and after-action reports. Oversee assigned EP Agents and coordinate schedules to ensure appropriate coverage. Provide close protection and other security-related functions for the client during high-visibility and / or high-risk events. Lead counter surveillance operations, perform protective advance planning and threat vulnerability assessments. Transport the client and / or family members to events and appointments using evasive and / or defensive driving tactics, as needed. Effectively manage the client and / or their family / representative requests against the need to ensure all safety and security precautions, respond to emergencies, and perform medical operations. Prepare and deliver executive briefings and reports. Deescalate tense situations or individuals that arise and communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner. Complete suspicious activity reports and incident reports. Shift logs, pattern of life reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative requirements. Operate and maintain protective, operations, and communications equipment and promptly identify and escalate deficiencies / failures. All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree with a combination of at least seven years of hands-on executive protection, team leadership, and program development / management. Rhode Island Attorney General's Unrestricted Concealed Carry Permit (CCP), or Rhode Island Attorney General's Work Purposes CCP required. Knowledgeable of security practices, risk assessments, and advance planning. Client relationship management skills. Defensive driving tactics training / experience. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Independent judgment / decision-making and problem resolution skills. Able to interact collaboratively at all levels and across diverse cultures. Concierge-level customer service skills. Serve as an effective team leader. Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills. Able to identify and adapt quickly to emerging situations. Computer skills; Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions : Requires the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions effectively; regular computer usage, occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment, frequent sitting, standing, and / or walking. On occasion, may be required to perform stressful and physical activity. Domestic and / or international travel. 24 / 7 availability.
