ICU Nurse Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100 - $2250

Location : Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula)

Healthcare Setting : Level 2 ICU, Open Heart program, Cath lab, Neuro Surgery, Level II Trauma Center, CRRT programs

Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract

Start Date : December 28, 2025

End Date : March 29, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Unit Beds : 24

Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 for ICU, 1 : 3 for IMCU

Electronic Health Record : Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience

Experience caring for vented ICU patients

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred : Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, or pediatric DKA

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a Level 2 ICU setting

Monitor and manage patients post-open heart surgery, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, and septic shock

Operate and manage advanced medical equipment : Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Float to other units as part of the travel nurse rotation

Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EHR

Follow hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (scrub colors : galaxy, royal, or navy blue)
