Forklift Operator Responsibilities :

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars
• Moves materials and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product onto a truck or rail car
• Performs routine post and pre-operation inspections to ensure that the forklift is in proper, working condition
• Maintains yard and ensure it is organized and clean
• Completes paperwork as required
• Follows all company forklift rules and policies

Requirements for Forklift Operator :

Able to sit, stand and walk throughout the entire shift

Able to climb in and out of the forklift repetitively throughout the shift

Able to bend, squat, reach, push, pull and climb throughout the shift

Good hand-eye coordination

Basic math skills and able to read a ruler

Safety conscious
