Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment.   • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.\n
  • Must have at least 22 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.\n
  • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.\n\nRequirements\n
  • Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).\n
  • This role will require floating to multiple units Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.\n
  • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.\n
  • 6 months between Any Contract Type at Program : Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center\n\nPre-employment modules may be required for this role.   • Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more.\n
  • Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location.\n\nRequired Skills / Experience\n
  • Must be proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation.\n
  • IV therapy / Phlebotomy, Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Starting and maintaining IVs, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Care, Infant / neonatal arrest, Telemetry Interpretation, Labor and Delivery Management, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Hemorrhage / shock, Recover C-Section, Work Settings, Antepartum, High Risk Antepartum, Medication & Administration, Anticoagulants, Anticonvulsants, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, Terbutaline, Neonatal Care in Delivery Room, APGAR scores, ID / Security Banding, Neonatal Resuscitation, Radiant Warmers / Thermoregulation, Antepartum Care and Procedures, NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Postpartum Care of the Patient with, Bladder Distension, Cesarean Section, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Vaginal Delivery, Postpartum Care and Procedures, Episiotomy / Incisional Care, Foley catheter insertion / management, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, Wound Assessment and Care, Surgical Case / Procedures, Cervical Cerclage, D & C, Tubal Ligation, Newborn Care, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Pain Management, Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, IV conscious sedation, Opioids, Pain assessment & management, Use of PCA (IV), Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions / PPE, Vaccine Administration, Fetal Monitoring, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Use of External Fetal Monitoring\n\nPreferred Skills / Experience : Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC), Adult cardiac arrest, Use of Rapid Response / Code teams, Amnioinfusion, Circulate for C-section, Forceps / vacuum extraction, Sterile vaginal exam, Labor and Delivery, LDRP, Mother / Baby, Baby Nurse ("Baby Catcher"), Collect cord samples, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), Sterile vaginal exam, Breastfeeding Support / lactation support, Use of Electric / Manual breast pump, Thermoregulation\n\nRequired Credentials\n
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.\n
  • References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.\n\nProcedures / Diagnostics / Treatments Performed On Unit\n
  • Patient Diagnosis : Antepartum, Postpartum w / telemetry or continuous pulse ox, Postpartum magnesium, PP IUFD\n\nTypes of Patients on Unit : Infants, Adults\n\nUnit / Facility Details : 17 beds; 14 rooms\n\nShift & Scheduling : Every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed.\n\nDetails\n
  • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : Please request an interview for one match from this facility at a time. You will not interview with the hiring manager if the facility chooses to extend an offer to you for this position. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
