Job Summary
:Operates a lattice and hydraulic telescoping boom-type crane, crawler-type, and/or hydraulic rough-terrain crane to hoist and move materials, drive piling, and perform other related operations.
Education:
• Current National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) Mobile Crane Operator Certification, or the ability to become certified required
• Valid drivers’ license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required
• Class A CDL with endorsements and valid medical card preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills:
• Two or more years of experience in operation of fixed and mobile cranes; experience operating Lattice Boom Crawler (LBC) required; experience operating Telescopic Boom - Swing Cab (TLL) preferred
• Previous experience in bridge construction and pile driving preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to make signal gestures and to move, handle, or manipulate objects
• Regularly required to communicate verbally and hear instructions or signals
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Frequently required to walk across uneven terrain, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand or work on feet for extended periods
• Frequently exposed to construction site conditions, including dust, loud noise, fuel, oil, chemicals, and adverse weather
• Travel with overnight stays away from home
