Requirements :
Certificate or Degree in Electronics (prefer AS Degree) Experience Minimum of three years electronics experience
Experience with High Power electronics—480 VAC, single phase and three phase power
Knowledge of AC to AC Converter Systems preferred
Familiarity and experience with IGBT’s, analog circuitry and AC-DC conversion
Knowledge of through hole and SMT circuitry
Power supply experience
Knowledge of Power Factor Correction circuitry Duties :
Tests production sub-assemblies, modules, and systems to ensure proper operation per established test criteria and / according to the daily priorities assigned by the Test Supervisor.
Troubleshoots Production units, PCB’s, Sub-Assemblies down to the component level (Where applicable) to determine cause of the non-conformance.
Performs a thorough inspection of each unit, PCB or subassembly prior to testing on a daily basis.
Performs required repairs to return units when necessary to operational state and tests to factory specifications.
Performs Burn-In process where required.
Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems to determine root cause of issue and relays information to the Test & QC Manager and / or Engineering Dept.
Uses test fixtures to test modules, circuit boards, etc
Notifies the Test & QC Manager of any defective test equipment, test fixtures, tools, etc.
Operates oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, loads, test fixtures, etc. and understands their use and function.
Uses hand tools and operates small power tools and understands their function
Maintains work bench to secure a clean and safe working area.
Follows all safety rules that have been implemented by the company at all times and reports any unsafe conditions to their immediate supervisor.
Acquires parts from the stockroom, when needed, to repair any defective PCB’s, assemblies or units.
Reports any unusual problems that occur during testing to the Test & QC Manager or Test Supervisor so that an investigation can begin immediately whenever the situation arises.
