Cloud Security Specialist

A company is looking for a Cloud Security SME to provide support for cloud and security infrastructure to protect against threats targeting the IRS's operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop a Security Operations Center (SOC) for cloud cyber security monitoring in Azure and AWS environments

Define and implement security controls, policies, and procedures for cloud-based systems

Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with security standards

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field

Proven experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms, focusing on security measures

Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS

Experience in setting up and managing a Security Operations Center (SOC) or cloud security monitoring function

Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and regulations such as NIST and ISO 27001
