TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds CVICU RN in Portland, Oregon, 97239!

Pay Information

$2,850 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : CVPICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 2 years (preferred in CVPICU)

License : Valid State License preferred at time of submission

Certifications : BLS, PALS (NRP preferred)

Must-Have : Experience with CVPICU and post-operative heart patients

Description :

Position for a Registered Nurse specializing in CVPICU.

The shift is 3x12 nights, starting Tuesdays.

The unit cares for critically ill or injured pediatric patients from birth to young adulthood.

The team provides care across various health issues, including trauma, surgery, respiratory, cardiac, hematology / oncology, and neurologic disorders.

Nurses in this unit are specially trained for high-level medical and post-surgical nursing care.

The PICU is staffed by board-certified pediatric intensivists, available 24 / 7.

Collaboration is key, working with many medical and surgical services for comprehensive patient care.

Bedside procedures include central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations / extubations, CRRT initiation / discontinuation, ECMO cannulations / decannulations, and emergency operative procedures.

Experience in CVICU and post-operative heart care is required.

Equipment used includes Hamilton G5 Ventilators, ICP Monitors, and Prismaflex Machines.

Patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, with some floating within the hospital to NICU and pediatric units.

The unit supports a family-centered atmosphere and interdisciplinary teamwork, including respiratory therapy, nutrition, social services, and more.

Candidates will be considered if they meet the experience requirements.

No floating to sister hospitals is required.

Weekend availability is necessary.

All time off requests must be outlined upon application.

First-time travelers accepted with relevant experience.
