Job Title : Direct Support Aide.

EMPLOYMENT SUMMARY :

• Provide the expertise, knowledge, skills necessary to supervise the Loveland Center participants at the program and / or in the community.

Using a curriculum, following a schedule, supporting, encouraging and empowering participants to reach their  goals through hands-on Practical Skills Training as they apply to everyday life. Services are to be provided on campus as well as in the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that would normally be met by a DSP to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, a DSP is regularly required to talk, hear and see; frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands. The DSP is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may be required to lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that a DSP would encounter while performing the essential functions of their jobs. Primarily, a DSP is subject to indoor conditions and subject to low to moderate noise levels with periodic disruptions in routine and is also subject to various outdoor settings.
