Overview : Contingent upon Contract Award

Oversees a freight terminal responsible for arranging transportation for all issue transactions. Fully knowledgeable in all Government and Commercial Traffic Management functions and processes.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Direct employees engaged in planning outbound shipping loads, scheduling movement of outbound shipments to include air, surface, small parcel, and sea IAW all applicable contracts, DFTS, SDDC Global Freight Management System (GFMS) applications, and completing required documentation and data entry functions to include Bills of Lading (BOLs), manifests and all other forms of transportation documentation.
• Plan the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on a weekly or monthly basis.
• Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and / or Alternate Site Manager.
• Redirect workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations. Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
• Ensure work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and conditions of the contract.
• Use DSS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Responsible for the Audit Assertion Program functional areas of Quality Control and Customer Service.
