Intake Specialist

A company is looking for an Intake Specialist to manage patient referrals and documentation in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter referrals and communicate with referral sources to ensure proper documentation

Supervise team members, lead training sessions, and monitor performance metrics

Review medical records for compliance and facilitate the referral process with patients and insurance verification teams

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field preferred

One (1) year of work-related experience required; additional experience for senior and lead levels

Experience in healthcare administration, financial services, or insurance customer services

Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and payer policies is preferred

Proficiency with computers and healthcare software applications is necessary
