E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing, and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.

What you'll be doing :

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on concepts and requirements for spacecraft harnesses, coax, PCBs, enclosures, motors, etc.
  • Manage end-to-end harnessing processes, including 3D design, drawing creation, prototyping, and manufacturing support
  • Oversee mechanical packaging of rigid and flexible PCBs, considering form factors, mounting, interconnects, and environmental factors
  • Support and validate mechatronics design
  • Coordinate with systems engineering on ICDs, spacecraft AI&T, system testing, etc.

What you bring to this role :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years in electro-mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency with CAD and harness design tools
  • Knowledge of harness design best practices and IPC standards
  • Experience with rigid and flexible PCB technologies
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments
  • Skills with basic lab equipment like multimeters, soldering irons, crimpers, and hand tools
  • Experience with DFX, FMEA, and similar production processes
  • Bonus points for the following :

  • Master's degree in related engineering fields
  • Experience with Solidworks, Zuken, or similar software
  • Knowledge of mechatronics, motors, and actuators
  • Familiarity with NASA, ECSS, or SAE standards for PCB and harness design
  • Experience with RF signals and coax cables
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer or other PCB design tools
  • Experience designing for space environments
  • This is a full-time, exempt position based in Saratoga, CA, with a salary range of $150,000 - $220,000 annually, determined by experience and skills.

    We seek candidates passionate about LEO satellite component development, design, and in-orbit activities. Candidates with relevant experience will be considered favorably.
