Job Description

Raritan Valley Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach in the Science & Engineering department. The instructor will introduce the fundamental theories and laws of modern chemistry. Emphasis is placed on electronic structure and its relationship to bonding and the periodic table, the physical states of matter, stoichiometry, molecular geometry, gas laws, solutions, and their chemistry. Kinetics, equilibrium behavior, thermodynamics, acids and bases, solubility equilibria, electrochemistry, and nuclear chemistry are also covered.

Responsibilities

• Teach chemistry topics in the Science & Engineering department as an adjunct instructor.
• Cover fundamental theories and laws of modern chemistry, including electronic structure, bonding, periodic table, states of matter, stoichiometry, molecular geometry, and gas laws.
• Instruction on kinetics, equilibrium behavior, thermodynamics, acids and bases, solubility equilibria, electrochemistry, and nuclear chemistry.
