Overview
This role falls within the Inside Sales job family, which encompasses responsibilities such as generating and developing leads, promoting and maintaining sales, and conducting sales activities remotely via phone or email. It also includes positions focused on customer service-acting as primary points of contact for clients-as well as marketing functions that involve collecting, analyzing, and sharing information on product demand, pricing, market trends, and other factors related to the marketing products.
Responsibilities :
- Sell products to business, industrial, and individual customers.
- Manage assigned customer accounts, build relationships, and ensure satisfaction.
- Identify new prospects, develop sales strategies, and grow business opportunities.
- Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing within guidelines, and follow up to close sales.
- Maintain customer records, conduct cold calls, and provide product knowledge support.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to meet customer needs and drive growth.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and company products.
- Adhere to safety processes and company policies.
Skills and Experience
5 - 10 years of relevant sales experience required.High School diploma / GED required, Bachelor degree preferred.Broad knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services required.Broad knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service required.Broad knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing and distribution of material required.Broad knowledge of company products and the metals industryStrong communication skills with effective virtual presenceAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsProficient in math and Microsoft applicationsAbility to build and maintain cooperative relationships with customers and coworkersBenefits
