Ohio Licensed CDI Education Coordinator

A company is looking for a CDI Education and Quality Coordinator who will provide education on clinical documentation and coding.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized and classroom-based education on clinical documentation and coding to various stakeholders

Conduct quality reviews of CDI cases and lead process improvement initiatives based on audit findings

Develop and maintain CDI policies and guidelines in alignment with relevant standards

Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or related field, or a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, or a medical college

Three years of experience in clinical documentation improvement in an inpatient setting, or one year with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or medical degree

In-depth knowledge of ICD-9-CM (ICD-10-CM) coding principles and DRG assignment

Formal coursework in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Expert knowledge of CDIS application and familiarity with computer systems
