Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - General Medicine WA and Make a Difference in Veterans' Lives!
We are seeking dedicated and experienced General Medicine Physicians to provide crucial Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations in Washington State. This flexible role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise in a meaningful, non-treatment capacity while supporting our nation's Veterans. Whether you're seeking half-day assignments or full-day engagements, this position provides the flexibility and professionalism you desire.
Required Skills
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license in Washington State.
- Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields.
- Strong interview skills and the ability to perform physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength evaluation.
- Ability to adhere to protocols and complete detailed reports accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience with compensation and pension evaluations or military-related health assessments.
- Familiarity with VA or government contracted exam procedures.
- Certification in occupational or military medicine.
- Proficiency in medical documentation software and diagnostic reading.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- At least 1 year of clinical practice in general medicine or related specialties.
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension or military health evaluations is advantageous but not mandatory.
Other Requirements
- Valid Washington State medical license and certifications.
- Ability to work independently in an office setting or remotely at your own practice location.
- Willingness to complete onboarding, including training and initial exams, prior to start.
- Local candidates only; travel expenses are included in the rate.

Hourly Pay Rate:
- Half-day (up to 4 hours): $800 flat rate (includes exam time and report submission)
- Full-day (5 hours or more): $1,600 flat rate (includes exam time and report submission)
- One-time bonus of $650 upon completing required training and first exams
