Fully Remote Tax Manager – Small Business & Strategy Focused

Accounting & Advisory | $100-130K+ Base (DOE) + Bonus + Long-Term Growth | Fully Flexible Schedule | 100% Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic, experienced Tax Manager who thrives in a leadership role and is excited to mentor others, drive strategy, and help clients protect and grow their wealth. You’ll join a collaborative remote team and be empowered to shape firm-wide processes and client experience.

What You’ll Do :

  • Lead and mentor a fully remote tax team (currently 4 staff)
  • Review complex business (1065s, 1120s) and individual returns (1040s with passthroughs, investments, etc.)
  • Deliver customized tax strategy, planning, and consulting to small business clients
  • Guide technical development and communication skills of your team
  • Partner with leadership to refine pricing, workflow, and service delivery
  • Help shape the firm’s future as part of its strategic leadership team

Who You Are :

  • A seasoned tax pro with 8+ years in public accounting
  • You’ve reviewed returns, managed teams, and advised clients directly
  • You’re tech-savvy and excited about the role of AI and cloud-based tools
  • You’re collaborative, direct, and coachable—with a desire to grow into future firm leadership
  • You hold a CPA or EA license
  • You’ve worked remotely or run your own practice and love mentoring others

    • Bonus Points For :

  • Experience serving clients in the wellness center, real estate, or professional service industries
  • Familiarity with CCH Axcess, QBO, or Xero
  • Background in pricing, billing, and business development strategy
  • Passion for process improvement and systems optimization
