Responsibilities Hospital-based Operating Room setting Level 1 Trauma Center with diverse surgical specialties, including Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery Work schedule consists of 4x10 hour shifts, 12 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM Mandatory on-call one 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday, 7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM Requires working every other weekend Mandatory float within facility and possibly to other locations within 50 miles, sometimes outside primary competency Uses Cerner charting system Navy blue scrubs provided by facility Responsible for scrub and circulating duties across a broad range of surgical specialties in a trauma hospital setting Team-based support model is used if floated outside primary competency area No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed Strict RTO policy : maximum 5 days off, no more than 2 consecutive days, no weekends or holiday RTO allowed No RTO permitted the day before or after a holiday Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of assignment acceptance First-time travelers and local candidates will be considered Parking is available offsite for a nominal daily fee with shuttle service provided Requirements Active IL RN license in hand at time of application Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum 2 years recent acute care OR experience Level 1 Trauma experience required Strong scrub and circulate skills required Experience in Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery required Preferred experience in Neurosurgery (crani and spine), Open Heart / Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatrics, and Gynecology COVID vaccination required prior to start, booster not required Must live within a 75-mile radius to be eligible as local Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-638369.
