Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Psychologist position is available in Buffalo, NY, serving a middle school setting covering grades 6-8. This contract role spans from August 19th to the end of the school year and offers a Monday through Friday schedule. The position includes conducting approximately 75-80 evaluations annually and providing psychological services for around 750 students.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for K-8 students.
  • Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide consultation and support regarding student behavioral and emotional needs.
  • Attend district meetings as required, which may occasionally extend beyond regular working hours.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly to promote academic and social success.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid School Psychologist certification / license appropriate for New York State.
  • Experience conducting evaluations for K-12 students, particularly in a middle school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational regulations.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining detailed and accurate records.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and educational professionals.
