Job Description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their esteemed team in Greenwood, IN. The candidate will play a crucial role in daily operations, including patient scheduling, room preparation, and supporting high-volume patient and call handling.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and managing the daily patient schedule and room setup.
Collecting and documenting patient vitals, medical history, and allergy information.
Administering injections such as flu and biologics.
Handling inbound and outbound calls, managing prescriptions, and providing follow-up information.
Managing tasks assigned by healthcare providers using WebChart EMR system.
Facilitating teamwork to support both patients and healthcare providers effectively.

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.

Ability to work independently in a smaller team environment.

Experience with EMR systems, specifically WebChart, is beneficial.

Additional Requirements

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Must adhere to a dress code of scrubs or business casual with closed-toe shoes.

401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1 / 1, 4 / 1, 7 / 1, and 10 / 1).
