HiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the construction industry in Roanoke, TX!

Salary : $30 / hr – $45 / hr (based on experience)

Shift : Full-Time – 1st Shift (Monday–Friday)

Location : On-site – Roanoke, TX

Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a leading civil construction company in Roanoke, TX .

This position focuses on the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Caterpillar and other major-brand heavy construction equipment used across earthmoving, excavation, and utility projects .

This is a hands-on, first-shift shop role offering long-term stability, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work with a highly skilled, safety-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and haul trucks .
• Inspect, repair, and replace hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems as needed.
• Utilize CAT ET and CAT SIS diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair updates to supervisors.
• Collaborate with operators and site teams to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols during shop and field work.
