CNC Field Service Technician

The CNC Field Service Technician will understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to effectively detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components. Duties include, but are not limited to :

• Travel to customer sites within a regional territory (PA, and NY) to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls; daily travel with overnight hotel stays required
• Support additional Service calls including operator training, networking between systems, software applications, preventative maintenance, major assembly replacements and alignments, overhauls / refurbishments, upgrades / retrofits, and un-installation services.
• Detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components
• Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
• Effectively communicate machine issues, status of installation, or status of machine repair to customer; ensure proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer
• Exhibit ownership of customer related problems and coordinate with appropriate departments when necessary for resolution of problems to ensure customer service satisfaction
• Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay updated on new developments in the field including company product lines, vendor products, and other technologies
• Conduct machine maintenance training as a component of after-sales technical support
• Perform other duties as assigned
