Job Skills / Requirements

Armed Utility Officer Sunday-Saturday - Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift (10 : 00pm-7 : 00am). Position is flexible and be Full-Time or Part-Time + Armed security officer (must pass Armed training, have valid pistol permit). + TWIC Card preferred. Role : + Must be 21 years of age or older. + Armed security officer (must pass Armed training, have valid pistol permit). Duties & Responsibilities : + Ability to work Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed. + A curious nature that helps you to remain aware of the activities around you. + The ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in a critical situation. + Conduct regular walking patrols to improve the safety of individuals and proactively identify and report security concerns. + Monitor facility access points, employing verification procedures to authenticate the identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises, in support of a secure environment. + Maintain precise and detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and notable observations, facilitating comprehensive reporting and analysis for enhanced security measures. + Must have basic computer experience and the ability to use a tablet to conduct security reports. + Enforce security procedures in the relevant Security Post Instruction. + Execute routine tasks with proficiency, such as securely locking and unlocking doors, activating, and deactivating security systems, and diligently monitoring surveillance feeds for signs of potential threats or breaches. + Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents, utilizing appropriate actions and established protocols. + Always look professional in a clean and pressed uniform. + Informs and ensures compliance of SEI and Clients policies, such as smoking, loitering, parking violations, etc. Supervisory Responsibilities : No Minimum Qualifications : + The State of Alabama requires that you must have or obtain and maintain a valid Security Officer / Guard License issued by the Alabama Security Regulatory Board when providing any regulated activities in the State of Alabama + Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Required Skills & Abilities : + Ability to function well in a high-paced and potentially stressful work environment + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Skills & Abilities : Minimum Physical Requirements : + Stand and sit for long periods of time + Walk a minimum of mile without stopping + Climb a minimum of 20 common commercial facility stairs without stopping Education & Experience : + Minimum : + Education : HS Diploma or equivalent + Experience : None + Education : HS Diploma or equivalent + Experience : 1+ Year Armed Security Note : The Role, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities, and Education & Experience described above are not a comprehensive list.
