- Pain Management Provider

- Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations focusing on pain assessment, medical history, and physical examinations to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans utilizing a variety of modalities including pharmacologic therapies, interventional procedures, and non-pharmacologic approaches.
- Perform interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, botulinum toxin treatments, and other minimally invasive techniques to alleviate pain.
- Utilize advanced medical imaging tools like CT scans and ultrasound to guide precise interventions.
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain management in inpatient, outpatient, or post-operative settings, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatry, physical therapy, nursing staff, and specialists in fields such as neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, and radiology to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on pain management options, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching strategies to promote self-care and long-term wellness.
- Stay current with emerging pain management techniques through ongoing clinical research and professional development activities.
- Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment across care settings including hospice & palliative medicine or rehabilitation centers.
- Experience
Candidates should possess extensive experience in pain medicine with a strong foundation in acute and chronic pain management practices. Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities such as CT or ultrasound-guided procedures is essential. Proven proficiency with EMR systems like Simple Practice or similar platforms is required for efficient documentation and patient record management. Ideal applicants will have demonstrated expertise in interventional radiology techniques—including nerve blocks and catheterization—and possess critical care experience related to neurocritical or respiratory therapy when managing complex cases. Knowledge of medical coding (CPT / ICD) for billing purposes is advantageous. Pay : $70.00 - $110.00 per hour
