General Accountant

As a General Accountant, responsibilities include daily credit card and cash / check bank reconciliations, research discrepancies, record journal entries, prepare monthly Balance Sheet account analyses. Reports to the Manager of General Accounting.

Responsibilities :

• Daily clearing of General Ledger for credit cards and bank account transactions
• Prepare month-end bank account reconciliations
• Prepare month-end Balance Sheet account analyses
• Research discrepancies, investigate and oversee open bank items, identify and resolve issues
• Prepare journal entries related to credit card fees and bank transactions
• Support unclaimed property process
• Support month-end process
• Makes decisions within the level of expertise and consults with manager as appropriate
• Makes timely decisions based on analysis that impact multiple areas and / or functions
• Evaluates decisions to ensure various perspectives and impacts have been properly addressed
• Is capable of working independently with limited supervision
• Complete special projects (as required upon request)

$53,287 - $65,000 per year (dependent on experience)
