Hood Container Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday 3 : 30 pm - 2 : 00 am) Production Coordinator to support operations at our Breingsville, PA. The Production Coordinator will be responsible for preparing production paperwork, ensuring data accuracy, coordinating with internal and external teams, and supporting both inventory and quality processes to ensure efficient and accurate production execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Open production orders and create project folders with daily paperwork.
- Generate production paperwork in advance and create systematic forms for new projects.
- Review and edit new project worksheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare orders for closure, ensuring projects are complete and products are pulled.
- Reconcile production folders and deduct inventory used in Excel per project.
- Manage and conduct physical inventories for Hood-ordered materials.
- Communicate with Nestlé DC inbound / outbound teams and Nestlé QA regarding shipments and returns.
- Maintain strong relationships with Mira Loma planners; provide inventory updates and project completion dates.
- Facilitate new projects with Mira Loma and Hood QA teams.
- Issue and report quality projects and rework for the DC.
- Create and distribute projected schedules for Mira Loma team (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
- Advise QA members on both shifts as needed.
- Train new employees on proper system operations.
- Complete weekly sanitation audits for the production floor.
- Run daily production reports.
- Perform mock recalls twice per year.
- Correct systematic and paperwork errors to ensure accurate data entry.
- Support Plant Manager with :
Creating and maintaining daily production schedules.
Preparing estimates for new projects when required.Entering and updating SCPOs into the Planning Tool.Qualifications
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication skills with internal teams, planners, and external partners.Proficiency in Excel and other production-related systems.Ability to train and guide new employees.Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of quality systems, production processes, and inventory control preferred.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Here's why you will love working at Hood Container :
