Accounting Manager

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team in Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, combined with exceptional leadership skills to manage and develop a high-performing team effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to : accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess any findings and implement recommendations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and financial strategies.
• Mentor and develop a team of accountants, managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.
