Job Title : Tax Manager
Location : Wakefield, MA
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Tax Manager :
#1. 10+ years of experience in public accounting
#2. CPA certification required
#3. Working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
#4. Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, ProSystem FX Tax
Responsibilities of the Tax Manager :
- Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
- Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and firm resources
- Work directly with clients to build and maintain relationships
- Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and tax work papers
- Perform tax research projects
- Communicate with clients and team members regarding project status, client opportunities and other matters
- Provide training, direction, and supervision to team
- Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specialization
- Build new client relationships and maintain existing relationships
- Manage book of business, including budgets and production goals
- Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by management and clients
Requirements of the Tax Manager :
BS / BA in AccountingCPA certification required10+ years of experience in public accountingAbility to meet deadlines and work on multiple client projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOrganized and detail orientedWorking knowledge of accounting and auditing principlesExperience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, ProSystem FX TaxOther Key Requirements :
