JOB OVERVIEW Job Title : Physician Anesthesiology Job Type : Locum Tenens Location : Richmond, IN Service Setting : Inpatient Coverage Type : Clinical Only Coverage Period : February 2, 2026 December 31, 2026 (multiple date blocks available) Clinical Shift Schedule : Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts COVERAGE DATES Feb 2 Feb 6, 2026 Feb 9 Feb 13, 2026 Feb 16 Feb 20, 2026 Feb 23 Feb 27, 2026 March 2 March 6, 2026 March 9 March 13, 2026 March 16 March 20, 2026 March 23 March 27, 2026 March 30 April 3, 2026 Additional weeks available through Dec 31, 2026 (minimum 1012 weeks required) PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics : Adults, Healthy Pediatrics (down to 6 months), Obstetric patients Patient Volume / Census : 02 pediatric cases per day Case Mix : General anesthesia, OB, vascular surgery, cath lab, healthy pediatrics, occasional NORA, basic nerve blocks FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department : 220 total hospital beds Trauma Level : Level III EMR System : Epic Specialty Backup Available : Full cardiology program, surgical services, obstetrics Support Staff Available : RNs, APPs, anesthesia staff Reason for Coverage : Staff Leaving PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No Credentialing Timeline : 6090 days Orientation : In-person orientation required within two weeks prior to start date COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered by facility REQUIRED PROCEDURES Healthy pediatrics (down to 6 months old) Major vascular and interventional vascular (including AAA repair) Cardiac cath lab cases (ablations, angioplasty / stents, ICDs, EP studies, atrial appendage occlusion devices) Obstetric anesthesia (labor epidurals and C-sections) Trauma anesthesia Regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks (primarily interscalene, occasional popliteal and supraclavicular) JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses : Active Indiana license or IMLC Board : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology DEA : Active DEA Certification Certifications : ACLS (AHA issued), BLS (AHA issued) Experience : Minimum 2 years in anesthesiology Vaccinations : Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations required (medical or religious exemptions accepted) Other Qualifications : Ability to independently perform all required procedures from Day 1; attestation required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide full-spectrum anesthesia services for adult, pediatric, vascular, obstetric, trauma, and cath lab cases Perform regional and peripheral nerve blocks as required Manage OR anesthesia independently without CRNA supervision Complete order entry and documentation in Vemsta and Epic systems Participate in in-person orientation prior to assignment Maintain compliance with all credentialing and hospital policies
