Job Title: Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location: William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, TX

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts with one 8-hour shift per two-week period
• 4-5 shifts biweekly, up to 80 hours per two-week period
• Days vary Sunday-Saturday; schedule mission dependent

Position Overview

Provide comprehensive behavioral health nursing care in a military healthcare setting, supporting patient safety, readiness, and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform assessments, exams, and health histories.
• Provide health education, counseling, and interventions.
• Administer medications and other treatments.
• Supervise and assign tasks to nursing staff based on scope and skill.
• Identify adverse symptoms and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and providers.
• Coordinate referrals and specialty care.
• Support research and quality improvement initiatives.
