Director of Nursing

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations for a skilled nursing community near the Caseyville IL area. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical team performance.

Position Summary

The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all nursing services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and standards of care. The DON partners closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to drive clinical excellence and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing services and clinical programs
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including survey readiness
• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies and procedures
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and staff
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management
• Monitor quality measures, infection control, and risk management initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and survey processes
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive clinical quality
